Kiran’s Spice Kits
Environmentally conscious packaging design for a curry spice brand.
Simpkin Burley designed a new identity to reposition Kiran’s as a caring, quality brand. We designed a new logotype to target a high-end customer while retaining a friendly image that is easily recognisable in a retail setting. We used the heart motif as an apostrophe to represent a promise of care for both customer and the environment which was also utilised in the retail packaging as an aperture to showcase the product at a glance.
All stock is sourced from sustainable materials including the ‘plastic’ bag to contain the spices which is made from wood pulp, making the packaging is 100% biodegradable and recyclable.
Kiran’s Spice Kits are now stocked in more high-end delicatessens, and retail figures are reporting improved sales since the launch of the rebrand.
